Concerts

Organising a concert of Christian music need not be as daunting as it sounds!

I generally work within a format of songs framed with a bit of chat about them and the stories behind them. Usually I'll play two sets with an interval in between. The mood is lively and accessible, as well as thought provoking (if you want to hear a sample, take a look at the Catalogue page for my CDs, 'The Road Home' and 'In the Footsteps of David'). Some churches use me as the entertainment for a fund-raiser, but the content is ideal for non-scary evangelism - an evening of high quality entertainment you could invite non-Christian friends to.

I operate live as a "one man band", so in most smaller situations that means that I'm entirely self-contained. If you would like me to play in a performance space that seats more than about 200 people, then you would need to provide appropriate PA, and someone to operate it. Full blown concert lighting is usually not essential, although if there's some means of lighting the stage and keeping the audience darker it helps the atmosphere.

For an evening as described above, my rates are £150, plus travel at 30p/mile. I would suggest ticket prices in the order of £6/£4, but you'll know your potential audience best! If you need pictures, blurb, etc for advertising I can provide that. Where a concert is organised in conjunction with a daytime workshop, we can usually work out some sort of "package deal".
